Sadly this year the vast majority of yarn festivals have been cancelled, however some of the festival organisers have decided to create various online events and this year we are happy to announce we will be taking part in the Perth Festival online event.
To make the event special indie dyers, bag makers and other fibre artists have designed exclusive products that will only be available in the Perth shop over the festival weekend. The shop will open at 10:00 am BST on Saturday 12th September and closes on Monday 14th at 10:00 am BST. This is the only time these exclusive products will be available to purchase.
These products won’t be available in my shop until summer 2021 so if you like them you will need to get them this weekend.
Our exclusive products are:
- 100g skeins of Silver Sparkle sock in the colour way Tobias which was inspired by an adorable Staffordshire Bullterrier. who loves playing in muddy puddles!
- 5 x 20g sock yarn mini skeins in VanGough’s Sunflowers which is inspired by one of the Sunflower paintings by Vincent VanGough.
- Medium sized drawstring project bag in a Liberty print fabric “Antonia”. This bag will hold projects of up to 4 x 100g skeins of sock yarn.
If you are able your support for these events is much appreciated, festival organisers have found it hard to keep going this year. Hopefully we will soon all be able to meet up and attend events next year.
To get yarny people to connect Truly Hooked has set up event virtual lounges so if you fancy a virtual cup of coffee and knitting session you can get tickets for this on eventbrite.co.uk and search for Perth Festival of Yarn. You should be able to find the Truly Hooked Virtual Lounge. Tickets are free, you can join me for a virtual knitting session at 12:00 BST Saturday.
