It’s been a while since my last post, I am not sure where the time has gone! I have been planning to start a video podcast but just don’t seem to get the time to sit down and record. I’ll need to get more organised for this so watch this space 🙂
I have been a bit under the weather over the last couple of weeks, I just seem to keep getting one virus after another! It could be worse though and I am now on the mend.
Works In Progress
So as far as knitting goes I am still plugging away at my Worstead Boxy by Joji Locatelli I have finished the front section and just finishing off the back with shoulder shaping left to do then it’s just the neckband and sleeves. I hope to get this completed in the next couple of weeks. As the weather is getting colder it will be nice to have this over-sized sweater to snuggle up in.
I am also still knitting the Hylestad socks by Evelina Roos. The first stock is now finished but I have acquired a case of second sock syndrome! I intend to get this finished by the end of the month though as I am keen to cast on my next pair!
Knitting Plans – Sweater Fetish
So I am still on a kick to knit all the sweaters! The only problem I can foresee is that the next few I have planned are all fingering weight and with my knitting speed I could be knitting these till the next millennia! The one I am planning on casting on by the end of the year are listed below.
Next up is the So Faded by Andrew Mowry. I am hoping to get a full sized version out of 4 skeins. I have decided to go from a plain cream to a dark brown fade with a bit of aqua in between.
Also planned is Light Rain by Joji Localtelli. I have ordered some lovely Cascade Heritage yarn to knit this one in a light pink colour. It may take a bit of time to get here though, it’s coming from the US. I am really looking forward to casting this one on.
Other knitting plans include finished everything currently on my needles! I like to clear my needles at the end of the year where possible. I always go into frog or finish mode and have frogged a few projects already.
Bling Bags
So apart from the knitting I have been merrily sewing up a few more bags but I think my new favourite ones are the Christmas ones that have a very bling lining! I love this gold fabric and wanted to add a bit of bling to my project bags!
I am also planning of developing product ranges to include rhinestones to make some really nice bling bags and have been working on some designs which I am hoping to get into the shop early next year.
I’d love it if you would comment to let me know what you think about the gold bag lining. I would also love it if you could leave a comment letting me know what you think about a range of bling bags with rhinestones and maybe a lovely shinning lining. Is it just me that loves a bit of bling?
Till next time, happy crafting 🙂
